In what many see as going full steam ahead, Microsoft has announced they will be unlocking an estimated 200 new games for availability to be tested out by official console previewers.
Those lucky journalists and influencers who were lucky enough to have been chosen to test Microsoft’s next-gen console, Xbox Series X, will now have the library of available games expanded to the tune of two hundred choices over the next few days.
For those individuals who do not currently play video games for a living, both Microsoft’s next-gen consoles, the Xbox Series X and the more budget friendly Xbox Series S, are slated to officially release on November 10th of this year.
With that said, several hardcore gamers in the industry have already been lucky enough to have already received their console from the tech giant. As a result, these individuals have been very forthcoming with information about the console system’s capabilities, as well as its ability as a backward capability system, which is serving to excite gamers even more ahead of the much-anticipated consoled official launch.
While we still have as of yet to see the Xbox Series X platform’s performance when running a game, the massive additions to the library already existing for Xbox have said to be a “sight to be seen.” Due to the expansion of the integral SSD hard drive, the Xbox shows a reduction in the loading times across the board, with some saying the loading screens are swift and in the blink of an eye.
Those who have tested the console also draw attention to the Quick Resume Feature. This feature offers the capability of storing the progress of a game, from multiple players, within its memory. Then, later the players have the option to restore their gameplay action at the exact point it left off.
With these two vital additions to the next-gen consoles, the Xbox will be leading the charge for those players that wish to play their game more and wait less.
Tom Warren, of The Verge, was one of several individuals who are members of the preview plan with the Xbox Series X, that took to Twitter to announce Microsofts intention to roll out the expansive additions to the games library in the coming week.
Those games that Warren highlighted as part of the rollout included Apex Legends, Halo 3, and Forza Motorsport 7. Warren stated that these three games were ones he could speak to regarding the improvement in their performance on the next-gen console.
The expectation is that, with the number of YouTuber’s, influencers, and those old school gamers who offer up reviews, players of Xbox are more than likely to see upcoming coverage of these three games, along with a whole lot more in the coming months.
As the launch date quickly approaches, the anticipation for deliveries of the next-gen console is rising to a fever pitch. Gamers have been on somewhat of a roller coaster ride the last few months, but that will, hopefully, all be coming to an end in November.
