If you consider yourself a Geek and are free June 30th and July 1st then boy do we have some exciting news for you! The 2018 Washington State Toy and Geek Fest will be held here in Puyallup that weekend.
We attended this little guy last year and were not disappointed. This year though, there is nothing little about it. The show area is in excess of 200,000 sq ft and includes a 13,000 sq ft post apocalyptic laser tag course, star wars characters, lego display/play area, celebrity panels, and a retro arcade and gaming area just to name a few things off this ever growing offerings list.
Celebrities worth mentioning you might ask? How about Tom Welling from Smallville, Kevin Sussman from The Big Bang Theory, and Peter Mayhew from Star Wars. Oh and probably should mention Sean Schemmel and Christopher Sabat. Ya they might be a little important since, you know, they are the voice actors of Goku and Vegeta in this small time show called Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super.
If you’re not into all the panels and celebrity craze don’t fret there will still be plenty this event has to offer. Hundreds of local and national vendors will be there for a diverse offering of must have geeky products.
I know it’s probably eating at your soul right now, yes GeekIsUs will definitely be there! We have a decent sized booth with a section set aside dedicated to Gundams. This section will have builders working on their kits. Come stop by and say hi, these guys are really great people who are very knowledgable in the Gunpla hobby. They will be more than happy to talk to you about the hobby and answer any questions.
